integratedSCADA provided technical services as part of AETV Tamar Valley Power Station Synchronous Condenser Mode upgrade. This project allowed AETV to run the Gas Turbine generators in a mode that would either generate or absorb reactive power in order to support a voltage target. The following assistance was provided by integratedSCADA;
- Modification to protection schemes to block reverse power protection elements while synchronous condenser mode was selected.
- Modification and testing of generator protection following review of stator current capacity.
- Testing physical hardwired interface between generator protection relays and plant control systems.
- Modifications to GPS time clocks to allow time synchronisation of plant control system over station Ethernet network.
