Say goodbye to Conitel!
integratedSCADA recently assisted TasNetworks achieving a milestone in removing legacy SCADA protocols from service.
The upgrade performed at North Hobart substation removes the last substation site from the SCADA system that used Conitel C2020 protocol. This allows TasNetworks to decommission dedicated hardware from the communications network that was required to support bit-orientated protocols.

This project will allow our client to move forward with communications technology in an open non-proprietary manner, using the best available technologies and industry standard protocols. We look forward to the future generation of SCADA protocols used by our clients, currently DNP3 with a vision for IEC61850.
